This last week has seen an expected piece of transfer rumour mill speculation return for West Bromwich Albion – the future of centre-half Craig Dawson.
Whilst there wasn’t anything concrete in the speculation in reality, it more hinged on Burnley likely no longer having an interest in the 29-year-old given manager Sean Dyche’s well known chase of Dawson (and Jay Rodriguez) last summer.
To save overly repeating the original story I’ll simply copy it in.

With us turning down his transfer request last summer it was always only going to be a matter of time before speculation about his future returned, and that probably would’ve been the case even had we been successful in our hunt for a first return back to the Premier League this year from the Championship.
Despite the sense of the original report stating that Burnley were less likely to make a move given how they are stocked at centre-half, the Sun rather predictably suggested he was a £15million target for them in any event.
Reacting to the suggestions, these fans at least feel it’s time to cash in and not repeat the off pitch nonsense from this time last year. There were those who disagreed.

Lol I’d be amazed if we get anything close to £15m for him, but given the season we’ve just had I really think a massive shake up is needed especially with snr players, just so the next manager sets his stall out on his terms
