West Brom To Chase Top Two Spots With Top Six Manager – Report Suggests A New Name

|

With West Bromwich Albion fans mulling over the likes of Nigel Pearson, Danny Cowley, Michael O’Neill and many others on the rumour mill with our new head coach search well underway, outgoing Wolfsburg gaffer Bruno Labbadia is the latest to be linked.

Now I know little about the 53-year-old and even less about the Bundesliga really, but in the 2018/19 campaign he did lead the club to six place in their top flight table and Sky Sports have now reported that they ‘understand’ we have approached him to see if he has an interest in taking a shot at the Championship.

With reports claiming that it was already agreed that he would part company with the club come the end of the season, Hamburg are also linked with being interested in bring him back to the club after two previous spells as their gaffer, and he also has experience from time spent with Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart.

It’s a marked departure from the normal names we see listed and given the list of his former employers I can see plenty of fans potentially getting quite excited about this one.

However, four words need to be remembered – wages and transfer budget.
