Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan has emerged as a potential summer transfer target for West Brom, The Guardian journalist Ed Aarons has claimed.
Simakan has made 25 appearances in all competitions for Strasbourg since making his debut for the club’s first-team back at the start of the season, and it seems he has attracted plenty of attention in the process.
According to Aarons’ latest update, the Baggies, Crystal Palace, AC Milan and Monaco are all interested in the versatile defender, who can play at centre back or right-back, and has previously been linked with the likes of Tottenham, Everton, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
However, it seems as though Simakan is unlikely to come cheap for any of those clubs interested, with Aarons revealing that it is thought the 20-year-old will cost somewhere in the region of ยฃ14million.
Palace and West Brom both interested in Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan, who is also being tracked by Monaco and AC Milan. Expected to cost around ยฃ14m

With strengthening their squad vital for West Brom ahead of their return to the Premier League next season, plenty of Baggies fans were understandably keen to voice their opinion as they took to Twitter to react to these reports.
Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say.
Not a chance would we pay that much for a 20 year old right back who’s only played a season in ligue une

We’re not paying that for a RB… O’Shea starts next season unless we land a very good experienced RB for a low fee…
We need options up front…Announce Pera, Krono and strikers please…

Simakan is a very good rb for his age but only worth about 7 mil imo.
