West Brom have become the latest Premier League club to enter the race to sign Leicester City attacker Kelechi Iheanacho, a report from All Nigeria Soccer has claimed.
Iheanacho, who joined the Foxes from Manchester City back in the summer of 2017, scored five goals in 20 Premier League appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season, as they finished fifth in the Premier League table.
Now it seems as though Iheanacho is starting to attract plenty of attention from elsewhere in English football’s top-flight, with the latest reports claiming that the Baggies and local rivals Aston Villa have joined Newcastle in the race to sign the Nigeria international.
Indeed, it is thought that West Brom or Villa could have an advantage in the race to sign the striker, with their location in comparison to Leicester meaning Iheanacho would not have to move house to complete the transfer, something which reportedly appeals to him.
Adding a goalscorer to their squad this summer does seem to be a priority for Slaven Bilic’s side, so it is no surprise to see plenty of West Brom fans keen to voice their opinion as they took to Twitter to react to those links with Iheanacho.
Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say about this latest update.
Non scoring forward ๐ฉ… already got enough of them. He canโt score with Maddison one of the players that created most chances in the league, And decent midfield and wingbacks, not for me. Let him go Villa ๐
