West Bromwich Albion boinged themselves into third place in the Championship table on Saturday as we took a 2-0 victory over Millwall at The Hawthorns.
Goals from Dwight Gayle and Kieran Gibbs gave us our fifth win of the campaign so far and sitting on 17 points for the season, we are only a point behind Leeds United and Middlesbrough who are tied in first place.
It was another solid performance from the lads with plenty of improvement on show, not least defensively as we kept the clean sheet, but Chris Brunt’s card is marked by a section in the fan base and they simply aren’t going to let it go, even if they should be celebrating the result rather than looking for things to moan about.
I take it this is a wind-up?

Brunt shouldn’t be starting but you can call Darren Moore clueless after 6 straight home wins

I'm not Moore's biggest fan but Saturday was miles better defensively. Brunt good 2nd half. Where do you base Field being twice the player Brunt is. Plus another assist on Saturday. Are you sure it's Moore that's clueless?

Drop Brunt and I’ll be well pleased. Love him but he’s done.

I for one agree with your opinion on brunt.
Bypassed today but not his worst game of the season but can.t see why Barry was back on the bench.Barry or field for me

Brunt of old would have opened them up with his passing.
I agree not bad but not that good 6/10 his heading, tackling and right foot awful.
Totally agree Barry needed on Saturday.
But the best thing was the clean sheet for me and dawsons performance— mark anthony ralphs (@tardellie) September 22, 2018
A stodgy, yet in the end assured victory. The defence was much better today albeit Millwall lacked any quality in attack. Hegazi was very good and Dawson much improved too. Brunt still struggling, the least he can do is play routine passes well, but he was quite untidy.

Social media can be a weird and wonderful place, it can also be like the rowdiest dive you’ve ever walked into with few redeeming features at points.
Statistics in football never tell the full story but they can offer an alternative perspective, and WhoScored rated Brunt as our sixth best player on the day given his own individual contribution, but when you’ve made your mind up, you’ve made your mind up haven’t you.
Moore is “absolutely clueless” as we sit in third place…whatever floats your boat, I’m off to wobble my head. Some should try it.
