There were a number of West Bromwich Albion fans who were reasonably excited when we saw new head coach Slaven Bilic bring in pretty reliable Rotherham United man Semi Ajayi.
The 25-year-old versatile defensive player, came into The Hawthorns for a snip £1.5million fee, boasting well over 100 starts in professional football and having once been tapped up by Arsenal as a youngster (albeit he didn’t debut) we knew he had some pedigree.

With eight appearances to his name for us so far in the 2019/20 campaign, he salvaged a point for us in last weekend’s clash with Fulham as he opened his scoring account at the club, and naturally, he’s come in for plenty of praise since then.
Earlier this week, the club themselves took to social media to give some stats from his performances so far this year, and they made pretty pleasant reading and fans were quick to send further praise his way.
