“The Prince Has Returned” – These West Brom Fans Are Thrilled With Injury Update

|

It’s been a reasonable start to life in the 2019/20 campaign for new West Bromwich Albion gaffer Slaven Bilic, as we’ve taken 13 points from our opening seven games, and as we head towards this weekend’s clash with Huddersfield Town in the Sunday afternoon fixture, we continue to remain unbeaten.

Fans are yet to see 28-year-old Egyptian international centre-half Ahmed Hegazi as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury and the subsequent surgery he went through over the summer following international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

He had been managing the ankle problem throughout the 2018/19 campaign according to a prior interview from head of sports science and medicine, Andrew Leaver and it was expected he would make a return to training following the September break.

In a recent interview, Hegazi spoke of feeling fine as he steps up his work in training.

“I’m feeling all good. I’m very happy to be back in training and the ankle is feeling fine. There is no date for a return to playing yet but we will see how I progress from here. I have come back a little bit quicker than was expected which is good for me. The team is doing well and we just need to keep this momentum going.”

West Brom fans were delighted with the update.
