With a lull in Championship action as we are in yet another international break for UEFA’s benefit to their pocket, there’s not an awful lot to talk about really as some of the ‘news’ doing the rounds when it comes to forced January transfer links is a little ridiculous – one thing did catch my eye though from our last match as I looked back.
A 4-1 victory over Reading carried a number of headlines from the game and once again Tyrone Mears seems to be an easy target for some, but a number of fans went in a different direction and felt that Kyle Edwards had shown enough when he came on as a substitute to be given a proper crack in the role himself moving forward.

The 20-year-old Academy graduate had a successful spell out with Exeter City last season, making 28 appearances in total, with a return of two goals and Reading was his Championship bow for us. He has appeared in three EFL Cup games though, scoring in the match this season against Mansfield Town.
Abosulutly rapid getting back for that tackle ????

Very impressed, liked the way you wanted the ball and speed down the wing. Superb covering tackle as well. Great stuff

Would’ve no doubt done his confidence the world of good and we’ll have to see if head coach Darren Moore does turn to him for the Wigan Athletic trip.
