West Brom are on course to win promotion back to the Premier League in what is their second successive season at this level.
Many fans will feel the club belong in the top-flight and they had spent eight consecutive years in the Premier League until they were relegated in May 2018. That was an entirely forgettable year, with Alan Pardew in charge for the majority of it.
The ex-Newcastle chief was appointed in November of that campaign but he couldn’t improve the team and his reign is perhaps best remembered for a lack of discipline off the field and things only got better when Darren Moore replaced Pardew for the final games of the season.
