West Brom have been superb this season and they are currently second in the Championship and on course to win promotion with just nine games to play.
Whilst it would be unfair to identify one single individual for Albion’s success, there’s no denying that Matheus Pereira has been a revelation since joining from Sporting Lisbon on an initial loan. The attacking midfielder has contributed six goals and 16 assists in the league and his form has seen some declare him as the best player outside the Premier League.

So, he is hugely popular at The Hawthorns and the Brazilian took to Twitter yesterday to share a light-hearted update as he played football in his garden. Pereira is attempting to score from way behind the goal and whilst the footage shows a ball bouncing into the net, he’s left it up to the fans to decide whether the effort was genuine or not.
