With the somewhat surprise appointment of new West Bromwich Albion head coach Slaven Bilic the other day, on Tuesday he made his first two appointments at the club as he brought in fellow Croatian backroom staffers Dean Racunica and Danilo Butorovic.
With player speculation already beginning following his arrival, getting his backroom coaching staff in order quickly will only naturally help us hit the ground running as the players (whoever they may be, come the transfer window deadline closure) adjust to the gaffer’s new wants and desires.
Neither have worked in the English game during their career yet, so when the players return for pre-season next week it’ll be their first taste, but they have obviously worked with Bilic previously.
Racunica worked with him during his international stint as Croatia boss across his two European Championship campaigns, and Butorovic has been a rising young coach in the Croatian game and worked with him during some work experience whilst at West Ham, and latterly in his Turkish managerial experience.

The pair join Jimmy Shan, Gary Walsh and Nick Davies.
Actually pleased at least we have not gone for the perennial failures whose names keep popping up
