Having spent eight consecutive years in the Premier League from 2010, West Brom had a chance to renew their rivalry with Aston Villa on a regular basis.
Given what the fixture means to the Albion fans, getting one over their neighbours was always going to be a big deal and they inflicted a first league defeat on Villa in over 25 years on this day in 2011.

Despite going a goal down early on, Peter Odemwingie would equalise in the second half but the momentum was back with the visitors when Paul Scharner was sent off moments later. Yet, the ten men would keep fighting and Youssouf Mulumbu would grab a late winner for the ten men to send The Hawthorns wild.
