Having spent eight consecutive years in the Premier League before relegation in 2018, West Brom have many good memories from their time in the top-flight.
And, one of those came on this day eight years ago, when Roy Hodgson’s Baggies went to Tottenham and secured a point thanks to a fine effort from Simon Cox, which was shared on the club’s Twitter. The forward had a tough time with Albion at the highest level, scoring just once in two seasons, but it was a goal to remember.

Picking the ball up outside the box, he curled expertly past Gomes to make it 2-2 and the visitors held on for a creditable point against Spurs who were competing for a Champions League spot. As for West Brom, they were safe in mid-table after Hodgson made a positive impact following his appointment a few months before.
Therefore, it brought back many happy memories for the fans, who reflected on the day out and the strike…
