On Saturday, West Brom fans came away from The Hawthorns with all three points after beating Sheffield Wednesday in what was far from an easy encounter against Garry Monk’s Owls. After the game, though the respect was there from both of the club’s fan bases.

One Sheffield Wednesday fan took to Twitter with some pictures of the ground and the crowd that filled up the stadium, claiming that it’s good to see a ground where every seat is full, and this prompted plenty of responses from the Baggies who were quick to praise the away side.
Wednesday fans may have come away from the game and felt very hard done by not to have got any kind of result from the West Midlands club, but they earned West Brom’s respect and the Baggies were quick to reply and share their thoughts on the travelling side below.
Are West Brom fans the best in the Championship?

Fair play lad probably the most toughest side we’ve faced at home so far this season

Two proper clubs. Always had a lot of time for Wednesday. Good luck this season

One of the best sides I’ve seen up at The Hawthorns this year! Good footballing side. A tough game but a good one…fair play to the Wednesday lads who cheered in their team well! @WBA we need to be more vocal for the whole 90mins and make it a caldron! When we do it’s awesome!

Ultimately, the Baggies will have been delighted with their win on Saturday and as good as Sheffield Wednesday were, all that matters is that Slaven Bilic’s side won.
