‘The best’, ‘Hero’ – These West Brom fans love club footage of iconic figure

West Brom have had many legendary players pull on the blue and white stripes over the years and Cyrille Regis is certainly up there with the best.

The former striker is a respected figure across the Midlands, having featured for Wolves, Aston Villa and Coventry as well as Albion, but it’s his time with the Baggies that he’s perhaps best known for. And, with no football on right now, the Championship high-flyers have been looking back at different legends over the past few weeks, showing them at their best for the club.

Today, they shared a clip of Regis scoring some of the 112 goals that made him such a key member of those Albion teams in the late 70s and early 80s. It wasn’t just his goalscoring that made him a favourite on the terraces though, with Regis also praised for the way he fought against racism and helped current players before his death.
