Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan has questioned whether West Brom have the mobility within their attacking options to compete in the Premier League next season.
The trio of Charlie Austin, Hal Robson-Kanu and Kenneth Zohore have led the line for the Baggies this season, with Austin top-scoring for the club with 11 goals in all competitions across the course of the campaign, one more than Robson-Kanu.
Whelan however, has told Football Insider that he expects those three attackers to struggle in the Premier League due to their size, which he believes will cause them to struggle with the intensity of the Premier League, while also questioning Zohore over a supposed weight-gain during the season’s recent postponement.
Zohore himself has scored five goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for the Baggies since joining from Championship rivals Cardiff City back in the summer transfer window.
Taking to Twitter to respond to those claims from Whelan, plenty of Baggies fans appeared to agree with the ex-Leeds attacker’s observations.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say.

Yeah, that’s obvious though. We need to add players, which is why we have a transfer window… can’t make any claims about how we will do in the prem until the window is over

Completely agree. Not really good enough for The Championship. Our atracking midfielders this season we’re fantastic, imagine if we had a top striker like Watkins or Mitrovic? They would have got 25+ this season

Does he get paid for his expert analysis? I think every baggies fan could tell you that! For me there is only place for 1 of these in the squad next year. Some would argue even 1. I think Slav knows it too and it’s probably his main priority

Wholeheartedly agree, its not even like its a comment worth discussing. The 3 of them are bang average for the division below so talking about the best league in the world just isnt worth the breath

I totally agree with him ,why buying Robinson or someone like him is needed ,to add the agility we lack up front a forward as fast thinking and acting as the players supporting him

Totally agree, however the plan is that we will buy new players, so it’s a bit like stating the obvious tbh.
