Liam Ridgewell has described Ben Foster as world class, and said he believes with Boaz Myhill returning that the Baggies are well suited in the goalkeeping department for next season.

Speaking to wba.co.uk as the players buildup towards our pre season kick off, Liam Ridgewell said he was delighted to see Albion snap up Ben Foster on a permanent deal after his performances last season and he’s looking for another successful season at The Hawthorns.

‘Signing Ben was absolutely fantastic, one of the best pieces of news of the summer. The term world class is easily used these days but Foz really is that good. I’m sure a few clubs wouldn’t have minded signing him so for us to get him was a fantastic bit of business. Boaz isn’t a bad lad to have at No2 either! I know him from my time at Villa and he’s just gone from strength to strength. There can’t be many Premier League clubs who have two such brilliant goalkeepers.’

High praise indeed from Ridgewell, who also adds that he’s found working with the new head coach to be brilliant so far, saying he’s been very impressed with what he is trying to do in the short time he’s been here.
