Report: Slaven Bilic makes big transfer request to West Brom hierarchy

|

West Brom manager Slaven Bilic is pushing the club’s board to complete the permanent signing of West Ham attacker Grady Diangana, a report from the Daily Star has claimed.

Diangana joined the Baggies on a season-long loan from the Hammers back in the summer transfer window, and played a key role in getting the club promoted back to the Premier League this season, scoring eight goals and providing six assists.

Now it seems as though Bilic is desperate to bring Diangana back to The Hawthorns on a permanent basis, with the latest reports claiming that the Croatian is urging his club to spend some of their promotion prize money on the permanent signing of the attacker.

Is Diangana ready for the Premier League?

Yes

No

It is thought that the Baggies could offer up to £20million to sign Diangana, as they prepare for a return to the Premier League after two seasons in the Championship.

Indeed, Bilic is said to want the club to move quickly in their pursuit of the 22-year-old, with Everton, Newcastle and Celtic all also reportedly interested in signing the player.

You certainly feel this would be a smart move by West Brom.

Diangana knows the club well and is likely to get first-team top-flight football there, so it could be a deal that tempts him, although he cannot wait forever for that opportunity to arise.

The Baggies meanwhile would get a player with proven talent, who could help them be competitive in the top-flight, and it would be a huge statement of intent if they were to beat some of those other interested clubs to this signing.
