Report: West Brom discover what they will have to pay to sign three-goal midfielder

|

West Brom may have to pay Benfica €10million to complete the permanent signing of midfielder Filip Krovinovic, a report from a print edition of Portuguese newspaper Record has claimed.

Krovinovic joined the Baggies on a season-long loan back in the summer transfer window, and went on to play an important role in their promotion to the Premier League, scoring three goals in 40 league appearances for the club.

Now it seems as though West Brom are keen to bring to Krovinovic back to The Hawthorns on a permanent basis, and the terms of such a deal appear to be emerging.

Is Filip Krovinovic worth €10million?

Yes

No

According to the latest reports, Benfica are already aware of the fact that West Brom want to sign Krovinvoic on a permanent basis, and it is thought that the Portuguese giants would accept an offer of around €10million for the 24-year-old.

For his part, Krovinovic himself is said to be keen to stay with the Baggies, who are reported to have paid €800,000 to take him on loan initially, followed by a further €200,000 when promotion was confirmed.

This is an interesting one for West Brom to consider.

Krovinovic did play a useful part in their promotion this season, so you can see why they might be keen to bring him back to the club.

However, it is worth noting that he did not make quite as big an impact as some of the Baggies other loan players this season, and they must be careful not to pay over the odds here, given the importance of spending and recruiting properly ahead of their return to the Premier League.
