Premier League Target Has West Brom Medical, Two More Anticipated Ahead Of Deadline

|

With the January transfer rumour mill linking West Bromwich Albion with a move for Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy, it seems that deal is now gaining pace.

The BBC’s deadline day ticker claimed within the last half an hour that the 23-year-old wide player was now undergoing a medical with us as presumably we have agreed terms for his services in the second half of the year with the St James’ Park outfit.

Most seem to agree that he is head coach Darren Moore’s target to replace recalled Leicester City youngster Harvey Barnes and with the arrival of Miguel Almiron at Newcastle earlier today, it seems it has opened up the pathway for us to complete the deal.

The BBC also claim that discussions are continuing with Swansea City over winger Jefferson Montero and Fulham for midfielder Stefan Johansen.

It could be a late evening at the club if we are still chasing down those two deals.
