Opinion: Goalkeeper could leave West Brom this summer

|

Bradley House could be on his way out of West Bromwich Albion this summer as he’s out of contract in the coming months and is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Baggies.

The 21-year-old has been in and out of the U23s’ starting lineup, so it’s hard to see Slaven Bilic wanting to keep him for another season when he already has Sam Johnstone, Jonathan Bond and Ali Al-Habsi at his disposal.

Who has scored the most Championship goals?

House joined West Brom from Arsenal in 2015 and has found himself on the periphery of the first-team. As per Transfermarkt, the young goalkeeper has made 13 appearances for Albion’s U18s (28 goals conceded, one clean sheet) and 19 for their U23s (35 goals conceded, two clean sheets).

He’s not even been a regular in the reserves this season, featuring in only eight of their 18 Premier League 2 games, so House’s future is uncertain. As per Transfermarkt, Joshua Griffiths, Maksymilian Boruc, Jamie Emery and Al-Habsi have been given appearances in the reserves, so does Bilic need to keep House?

The 21-year-old hasn’t managed to break into the first-team in his five years at Albion, so he can’t claim to not have had the opportunities. House has conceded a staggering 17 goals from his eight appearances too, so he’s not been at his best at a considerably lower level than the Championship.
