News: Slaven Bilic has provided an update that will put smiles on West Brom fans’ faces

|

The attacking talent available to Slaven Bilic at The Hawthorns this season is incredibly impressive. The likes of Charlie Austin, Hal Robson-Kanu, Matt Phillips, Callum Robinson, Kamil Grosicki, Matheus Pereira and Filip Krovinovic are incredibly talented, although one particular attacker who’s been missed as of late in on the cusp of a return.

That man is the on-loan winger Grady Diangana. The Englishman signed for Bilic on a temporary basis back in the summer, leaving West ham to do so, and he’s been a breath of fresh air for the Baggies in the Championship, even if he’s currently returning from injury.

Should West Brom sign Diangana permanently?

Yes

No

That injury has seen Diangana miss the last five games in the Championship, and even before that he only managed 20-minute and four-minute cameos against Charlton and Stoke following on from a hamstring injury, meaning his last start came way back in December (Transfermarkt).

Now, though, the Baggies could be set to have him back soon, as Slaven Bilic, whilst speaking to The Express and Star, has given an injury update and stated that Diangana could be back within a few weeks, a comment that will have had the fans counting down the days.

The article states:

‘Bilic is close to having a fully fit squad at his disposal with Kieran Gibbs (groin) and Gareth Barry (calf) both in full training.’

‘However, both players were expected to feature in Monday’s under-23 clash with Norwich only for the game to fall foul of the weather.’

‘The only other absentees are Grady Diangana – who Bilic expects to have back in three weeks as he returns to fitness from a back/groin issue.’

Bilic stated:

‘Grady and Nathan are both the other ones. Grady is a few weeks away, yes. We’re at that final stage now where we don’t know if we’re going to be two or three.’

‘Of course the sooner the better, but it’s not a week, you know? I think it shouldn’t be more than, let’s say, tops three weeks, I don’t think.’
