Every fan up and down the country loves to see an academy graduate forcing his way into the first-team and West Brom supporters are no different.
Whilst Albion have produced the players over the years, they have often been left frustrated with no player really becoming a firm favourite. Saido Berahino was loved until he went off the rails and Nathan Ferguson seemingly wants to leave despite being given his big break by Slaven Bilic.
Will West Brom be in the Premier League next season?
Yes
No
However, Sam Field will be hoping to change that. The midfielder has made over 30 appearances for the club since his debut as a teenager, with many of those coming in the Premier League. Yet, he had to go away for regular minutes this season, with Charlton snapping up the left-footer on loan. His time with the Addicks has been impacted by injury but having just turned 22, he still has time on his side to come good.

So, Albion fans were asked on Twitter whether they see Field having a future at The Hawthorns and it’s fair to say it prompted a mixed response. Here we look at some of the comments…
depends

Yes. Never let us down. Should have been in our squad this season & we should have released Barry. One has a potential future & this was his chance to earn it. The other was fortunate to redeem himself from taxigate & as we saw against Newcastle should have retired

No nowhere near good enough

Yeah, why would he not. Good player.

I think he should, and has been very consistent whenever he has played. Good all-rounder. But I can see us selling him to another championship club like Stoke and we’ll regret it. He has a future in the prem for sure.

If we go up, he stands no chance here.

Pulis, Pardew, Moore, Shan and Bilic haven’t seen him as good enough to give a regular spot too.
