Being relegated from the Premier League is something West Brom supporters far too well, but sometimes a season in the Championship can prove to be as entertaining as the English top-flight, and Diomansy Kamara knows a thing or two about the division.

The former Senegalese international only spent two seasons with the Baggies in the mid-2000s, yet his impact with the club was massive as the now-retired striker played a huge role in the 2006/07 season where West Brom came close to bouncing straight back into the Premier League with Kamara hitting 21 goals for the Albion and guiding the Hawthorns side to the Championship play-off final.
How many wins will we get on this month?
One/Two
Three
Four
Full house! All five
Kamara was a sensation that season, and for West Brom supporters on social media, plenty of fans had great memories of the former Celtic striker who left a firm imprint on the club despite just two years in Birmingham.
Here’s what lots of West Brom fans had to say about their favourite Kamara moments on Twitter…
My favourite time as an albion fan, that period under Mowbray with super kev up front. Brilliant 👌

We’d be top by about 25 points clear with a Kamara in our forward line

Goals at the dingles. That hand celebration. I used to do it after I scored as a child

Excellent in the Championship, not so in the top flight (when we got relegated). A bit of an individualistic player. I preferred Bednar to him the season after, personality and all.

Kamara retired from football in 2010 after playing for the likes of Modena, Portsmouth and Fulham.
