West Brom are in a great position to win promotion back to the Premier League, with Slaven Bilic’s side second in the table right now.
If Albion do return to the top-flight it will be nothing new for most of the fans, as the Baggies have been up and down the divisions quite regularly over the years. And, one promotion that will stand out to many on the terraces was when Tony Mowbray’s men won the title back in 2008. The game that secured the league came 12 years ago yesterday, with a header from Do-Heon Kim and a superb Chris Brunt free-kick sealing the points.
The wait is over.
Six stars of our 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟕/𝟎𝟖 title-winning squad, reunited. Mozza, Brunty, Jono, Robbo, Zolly & Super Kev throw insult after insult at each other & discuss their time together in that special team. 😍

The club looked back at the win on Twitter yesterday and they also got six influential figures from that team together for a group chat, with Paul Robinson, Jonathan Greening, James Morrison, Zoltan Gera and Kevin Phillips joining Brunt on a video call.
Which was the better Albion team?
07/08 under Mowbray
Current side
The group had some laughs as they reminisced on the season and it was great for the support to see the former favourites back together even in this format. Here we look at some of the comments from the fans…
Better than any TVs or box set I have watched in the last 6 weeks. Now Brunty lad, you need to do one with current squad, got a have @MatheusPereira , @chazaustin10 , @fkrovinovic10 , @29_JL & @Hegazi as the 6. This would be just as good I’m sure . Great stuff guys 💙💙

Baggies legends swigging beers reminiscing about one of the best seasons I’ve ever watched 😍 You really didn’t need to show us being robbed by Portsmouth though, loved it up till that point 😂

This brought back so many memories. Probably the most enjoyable season I’ve had following the Albion. Them 6 would be up there for some of my favourite ever players as well #ballers #boingboing

Fantastic watch, great to see they’re all still friends. Special team that was 🏆if only we could’ve kept it all together for another season!
