West Bromwich Albion midfielder Zoltan Gera was the highest-scoring player in this week’s Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship.

The Hungarian midfielder took advantage of playing twice, netting in both fixtures to climb to 37th overall.

His goal secured victory at Wolves in the Black Country derby, helping earn him 33 points, and he followed that up with 36 points in the 2-1 win over Norwich at Carrow Road.

Kevin Phillips remains in second place in the race to top this season’s Index, now just 27 points behind leader Liam Lawrence and averaging 20 points per game, three more than his rival.

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
