West Brom Winger Returns To Former Club After Terminating Deal

|

Early Saturday evening whilst all West Bromwich Albion eyes were on our FA Cup clash with Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion as a younger side battled to a replay, it was being reported that Bakary Sako had now left The Hawthorns and signed a deal with former club Crystal Palace.

The 30-year-old Mali international rejected a contract offer at Selhurst Park last season and left in the summer, joining us back in October on a short term deal until the end of the current 2018/19 season.

Since arriving as a free agent, head coach Darren Moore has only given him three starts and three substitute appearances, with his solitary goal coming in the victory early this month over Wigan Athletic.

It appears we have mutually terminated his deal to enable him to move on in search of greater game time and Sky Sports have reported that he has now signed a similar deal back with his former club.

Albion officially confirmed his departure on Sunday afternoon.
