Battling Performance Sees This West Brom Man Take MotM From Brighton Cup Clash

|

A much-changed West Bromwich Albion side made the trip to the Amex Stadium to take on Premier League Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

With head coach Darren Moore shuffling the pack and bringing in a number of Academy graduates for the game, whilst it wasn’t pretty and the hosts dominated, we kept the clean sheet in a battling gutsy performance, and we now welcome them back to The Hawthorns next month for a replay and a second bite of the cherry.

Statistics website Whoscored.com were incredibly positive in their player ratings and goalkeeper Jonathan Bond received their star man award for his efforts between the sticks, gaining a score of 8.49.

Completing the top five best performers in their eyes were Tosin Adarabioyo (7.68), Kyle Bartley (7.40), Conor Townsend (7.09) and Wes Hoolahan (7.03).

Back to Championship action next and the replay is another good opportunity for others to get some match minutes into their belt.
