West Brom Man Proves His Worth As He Takes The Top Rating From Leeds Clash

|

West Bromwich Albion got back to winning ways in spectacular fashion at The Hawthorns in Saturday’s clash with Leeds United.

With Marcelo Bielsa’s side spending large parts of the 2018/19 campaign at the top of the Championship table, with West Brom’s recent form and results with three losses in the previous four games, a number of fans were quite nervous going into this one.

Something clicked for head coach Darren Moore’s side though and defensively we improved, and we got back to our best at the top of the pitch to secure a 4-1 victory.

There were a number of strong performances on the day and Whoscored gave their star man rating to Matt Phillips with a score of 8.36.

Completing the top five performers on the day in their system of ratings were Jay Rodriguez, Hal Robson-Kanu, Harvey Barnes and Tosin Adarabioyo.

I doubt many fans will begrudge the possession stat on the day as with significantly less time on the ball, we did far more than the visitors when it mattered and it should give everyone a massive boost.
