West Brom Look To The Future With Capture Of Talented Young Striker – 6 Goals In 7 Starts

|

West Bromwich Albion have made their first capture of the summer but fans shouldn’t expect to see too much, if anything, of our new striker Owen Windsor in the coming Championship campaign of 2019/20.

The 17-year-old striker has been signed from Southern League Division One South side Cirencester Town and he certainly caught the attention in 2018/19 as he found the back of he net six times in seven starts.

Having helped them to reach the Play-Off Semi-Finals in their campaign, the former Swindon Town and Southampton youth player makes the switch to us, signing a three year deal at The Hawthorns.

Whilst he’s very much one for the future, Gloucestershire Live claim that Chelsea were monitoring his progress and that the likes of Bristol City and Forest Green Rovers were also in the chase for his signature, but we won out here.

Stepping up six levels will be a challenge, but maybe a name to remember for a few years down the line depending on how he settles in and progresses from here.
