West Brom Loanee Steals The Show Again Against Stoke

|

27-year-old Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle is certainly making his mark at West Bromwich Albion following his loan arrival in the month of August.

Three goals in five games have been his return so far, and on a statistics front, he was helped by the two goals at the weekend as we took all three points from Stoke City at The Hawthorns.

According to Whoscored’s system, he took in a match rating of 9.10 to make him their ‘star man’ from the game, and with 100% shot accuracy with two goals from two efforts, one key pass and a 72.7% pass accuracy from 27 touches in total is no bad return at all.

He might not have done a lot, but what he did was productive and to our benefit.

Since the graphic was worked up, they’ve made a few corrections but they are only minor.

Completing the top five best performers for us were Kieran Gibbs (7.84), Ahmed Hegazi (7.34), Harvey Barnes (7.04) and Chris Brunt (7.03).

Barnes is certainly showing his consistency as he features towards the top of the pile once more.
