West Brom Keep The Top Of The Table Lively & This Man Comfortably Takes MotM Against Ipswich

|

Friday evening saw proper football return for West Bromwich Albion after the November international break got itself out of the way and we made the trip to Portman Road to face off against Paul Lambert’s Ipswich Town.

West Brom took the lead 26 minutes into the tie as Jay Rodriguez added another to his 2018/19 tally and on-loan Leicester starlet Harvey Barnes added a second 13 minutes from time. The hosts did pull one back with five remaining but in a tight and pretty balance game statistically, we edged it where it mattered.

Whoscored were very favourable in their ratings on the back of the performance and our top five players on the day with a 7+ score were Harvey Barnes (7.78), Kieran Gibbs (7.50), Jay Rodriguez (7.45), Matt Phillips (7.33) and Jake Livermore (7.20).

Only one Ipswich player scored above 7.

The scoreline could’ve been greater as Rodriguez and Ahmed Hegazi, in particular, wasted additional good chances of their own but three points are three points and we keep the battle at the top of the Championship alive.
