West Bromwich Albion’s released and retained list was revealed the other week and it’s no great secret as to which players are moving on as we drop into the Championship for the season of 2018/19 after suffering relegation last term.
We today bid farewell to three loyal servants of the Club…#WBAhttps://t.co/P70h032yK9

Three long-standing servants, in particular, are off for pastures new this summer and they are Gareth McAuley, Claudio Yacob and Boaz Myhill.
McAuley joined us seven years ago from Ipswich Town and he’s clocked up 227 appearances, with a return of 17 goals. Claudio Yacob joined in 2012 from Racing and departs with two goals in 175 games. Finally, Boaz Myhill leaves with 82 games to his name as our reliable No 2 following his arrival in 2010 from Hull City.
With a combined time of 21 years’ service to the club, head coach Darren Moore was full of praise for their contributions as he spoke to wba.co.uk.
“I would like to personally thank all three players for their loyal service to this football club and I wish them well in their respective futures. They have been absolute stalwarts of this club and they should all be proud of their time here. It was a very difficult decision not to offer each of them a new contract and I did not take that decision lightly. It was, however, a decision I felt was in the best interests of the football club.”
Fans were rightly quick to praise all three for their efforts in our shirt and to wish them the very best for the future as they now move on.
With over a 100 responses so far as I type, that will only have grown as the night progressed so I’ll pick out to or three examples for each player as tempers are still a little fried from our trip to Spain for some.

All joking apart there where times Foster was injured and Bo's performances where so class you questioned how he wasnt snapped up by a prem rival to play first team, best of luck! Stayed loyal and stepped up when asked.. in years to come we will laugh about the taxi!
