Once talks have been held, Ronnie Wallwork could find himself playing for Barnsley on loan.

Wallwork is on the look out for first team football after being told by Baggies manager Tony Mowbray that he no longer features in the club`s plans for the rest of the season.

Barnsley have no manager at the moment but are still looking to strengthen their midfield, Wallwork, who has only played twelve games for the Albion this season is seen as the player to fit the bill.

A statement on the Tykes` website read: ‘Barnsley Football Club have agreed a deal with West Bromwich Albion to sign former Manchester United midfielder Ronnie Wallwork on loan ahead of Saturday’s clash with Ipswich Town.’
