Report suggests West Brom are closing in on reunion with 19/20 loan star

|

West Ham have accepted a bid from West Brom for winger Grady Diangana, according to a report from The Telegraph.

Diangana spent last season on loan at The Hawthorns, where he played a key role in helping the club win automatic promotion to the Premier League, scoring eight goals and providng six assists in 30 league games for Slaven Bilic’s side.

Now it seems as though the 22-year-old could be set for an exteneded return to the Midlands, with the latest reports claiming that West Brom have had a bid accepted by West Ham for the attacker.

It is thought that the deal is worth an initial £12million upfront, with the potential for further addons that would see the cost of the deal rise “significantly”.

Prior to his move to West Brom, Diangana had made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers, scoring twice in an 8-0 thrashing of Macclesfield Town on debut in the League Cup.

If West Brom are able to pull this off, it would be a huge boost for the Baggies ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Diangana was outstanding during his time at The Hawthorns last season, and is surely ready for the step up to the Premier League, while you also feel he would be happy to make the move back to West Brom, given he knows the club, and is likely to get first-team football here.

It also seems as though £12million would be an excellent price for the club to get him at, given there is still plenty of time for Diangana to be sold for more than that further down the line, making the club a decent profit.

Add to that the fact it is surprising West Ham have accepted a bid such as this when he has five years remaining on his contract at The London Stadium, and it does seem as though this is an excellent piece of business all round for West Brom, if they can get it over the line.
