Swansea City and Burnley are also reportedly interested in the box-to-box midfielder, with Gallagher being one of Lee Bowyer’s most important players this season, with stats from WhoScored showing that the teenager has scored six goals and assisted two in 25 Championship games this campaign.

Do West Brom need to spend in January?

Yes, the squad needs that extra something

No, we're sorted for now

With TalkSPORT comparing Gallagher to Frank Lampard due to his role in the midfield and keen eye for goal which made the Premier League great one of the best in the division’s history, the Chelsea youngster has been one of the breakout stars in the Football League this season with his performances for Charlton, yet the fight for his signature could be a hard one for the Baggies.

Though as stats from WhoScored show, Gallagher’s versatility could make the England youth international a good squad player for the Albion should the 19-year-old decide to make the move up north to West Brom, and for the Baggies, they will have on their hands a creative midfielder whose eye for goal could be useful in the club’s mission to finish top of the Championship.
