Report: 19 y/o with £10k p/w contract demand open to WBA stay despite deal expiring this summer

|

Academy graduate Rayhaan Tulloch is keen to stay with West Brom beyond this season despite the teenager being unable to agree to a new deal with the club in recent weeks.

The Daily Mail report that the 19-year-old attacker is happy to renew with the Baggies despite Tulloch’s contract expiring in the summer, with the report stating that the attacker is eyeing a new deal worth around £10,000-per-week despite making just two senior team appearances this season as stats from WhoScored show, both of which coming in the FA Cup.

Tulloch is one of the most exciting players to emerge from the West Brom academy in recent years, with the attacker impressing greatly in Premier League 2 this campaign with the England youth international bagging nine goals and registering four assists in 14 appearances as stats from Transfermarkt show.

Is West Brom's academy one of the best in England?

Yes

No

Yet the forward’s contract situation with West Brom has alerted several clubs about his potential availability, with Football Insider claiming that Marseille, Rangers and RB Leipzig are all interested in Tulloch, yet this latest report seems to have put the odds back into the Baggies favour in retaining the teenager.

Slaven Bilic has shown this season to not be afraid to give youth a chance with the likes of Nathan Ferguson and Kyle Edwards thriving in the first-team since their promotions from the youth academy, and for Tulloch, the teenager could be the next star the Croatian manager turns to should an opportunity arise for the England youth international.

Tulloch is seemingly keen to continue his development as a player with West Brom, and if a new deal can be agreed, the Baggies will have yet another exciting name to add to their already stacked attacking arsenal.
