On Saturday, the form of Hal Robson-Kanu grabbed the headlines for West Bromwich Albion as the Welshman bagged twice at Ashton Gate in a 3-0 win, yet one man who has had his performance go under the radar is the impressive defender Ahmed Hegazi.

The Egyptian colossus made his return to the starting eleven as Slaven Bilic prepared his team to face off against Lee Johnson’s side, and bringing Hegazi in was a smart move, as the central defender had a great game, with many fans lauding him on Twitter afterwards.
There is real competition at the back for the Baggies, Hegazi has the likes of Kyle Bartley and Semi Ajayi to compete with, and all three of those options are top players on their day, so for Hegazi to come in and put in the performance he did was certainly a huge thing for the experienced defender to do.
