Jonas Olsson has admitted he has little contact with team mates over the summer because by the end of the season he’s had enough of them!

Speaking to the Sunday Mercury Olsson had an aire of cheekiness about him as he spoke.

‘When you get back it’s good because you hear how everyone has enjoyed their summer, in the weeks off we don’t have much contact, I’ve had enough of them by the time the season finishes!’

He also says that he pays very little attention to football during the summer break, preferring to switch off completely so he can come back fully refreshed and charged again for the season ahead.

‘I want to be hungry for it when I come back so I do other things and see other friends, and people outside of football. It makes me more focused when I come back.’

He also has a simple hope for this campaign.

‘What I hope for next season is that I play a full season without getting an injury.’

I doubt he’s the only one hoping for that.
