Several reports reveal mixed news on the injury front. While Chris Brunt and Roman Bednar have responded well in treatment and are back in contention for tomorrows’ game, in-form midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu is a major doubt.
The Democratic Republic of Congo star damaged a knee ligament in training on Tuesday and depending on the the severity of his injury, could miss the game.
Roberto Di Matteo was obviously frustrated as he presented the latest update:’It’s one of those injuries you have to assess on a daily basis to see how much it improves.’
He went on to add that ‘it would be a blow if he misses out,’ and let a bit of negativity creep in by claiming ‘it seems at the moment that we get one back and then lose another one.’
