Gareth McAuley has admitted we weren’t at our best against QPR last night, but he thinks we didn’t deserve to the lose the game.

Albion basically dominated the game in everything but what counted, goals scored, and McAuley told wba.co.uk that the players were disappointed to exit the Cup in that manner, but he also called for a response in our derby against Aston Villa this weekend.

‘We’re not happy to go out. We weren’t brilliant but I don’t think the performance deserved for us to get beaten. We’ve lost a few on the bounce now so we’ve got to dig deep and the senior guys in the squad have to get everyone together and get everyone positive because we have a very important game on Saturday. I wanted an FA Cup run, we knew it would be tough but we came up short.’
