Albion have today confirmed that they have cleared the air with on strike Midfielder Jason Koumas who will now return to the first team squad.

Koumas spent last season on loan at championship rivals Cardiff City and looked set to join them permanently until the Welsh club failed to come up with Albion’s £2Million asking price.

When the 26 year olds proposed move collapsed he proceeded to bad mouth the club and its manager and refused to train in an attempt to force Albion to let him go.

Koumas returned today returned to the Hawthorns for the first time in 12 Months for clear the air talks with Manager, Bryan Robson and Chairman, Jeremy Peace. The result of this is a new 3 year deal for Koumas and basically a talented, if troublesome, new signing.

Although there is no doubt about his talent Koumas has a battle on his hands to win over the Albion faithful who Koumas has treated with contempt and disrespect.

Personally, i am not interested in grovelling apologies, excuses or whose fault it was. The ONLY way Koumas can redeem himself is by knuckling down, training hard, keeping his head down and producing his best football.

I and allot of fans don`t trust, like or respect Koumas at the moment – It is up to him and him alone to rebuild the relationship with the players, manager and fans.
