Kemar Roofe has been rewarded for his progress by being handed his first professional contract.

The winger turns 19 in two day’s time and has signed a deal which will keep him at the Baggies until June 2013, which the standard extra years’ option in the clubs favour.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Dan Ashworth said.

‘Kemar has been with us for a long time, he has had a couple of injuries that have perhaps delayed his progress but he has got himself back fully fit and has really progressed in the last 12 months. He thoroughly deserves his first pro contract because of his attitude to training, work ethic and application to the game.’

Well done Kemar, looking forward to seeing you make a name for yourself at the club.
