International Break From West Brom Relegation Worries

|

A number of West Bromwich Albion players get a break from relegation worries in the next week and a bit with the March international window now in full swing.

Eleven players have travelled having received the call for their respective countries and from our point of view we just have to hope that nobody picks up any injury issues or better still they come back with a spring in their step as we look to do the impossible and close the ten point gap we’ve let build up to West Ham and Crystal Palace.

Jonny Evans and Gareth McAuley are with Northern Ireland for their tie against South Korea, and Jake Livermore once again receives the call from Gareth Southgate for matches against the Netherlands and Italy.

Allan Nyom is back on duty with Cameroon as they travel to Kuwait, and Ali Gabr and Ahmed Hegazi join up with Egypt for matches against Portugal and Greece.

James McClean is with Martin O’Neill’s Republic of Ireland for the game against Turkey, and Grzegorz Krychowiak will be in action for Poland against Nigeria and South Korea.

Matt Phillips gets the call from Alex McLeish as Scotland face Costa Rica and Hungary, and Oliver Burke sees himself in the Under 21 squad as they head to Andorra for a European Championship qualifier.

England’s Under 20 side are set for exhibition matches against Poland and Portugal and Sam Field finds himself with them.

With the season West Brom have had I’m amazed anybody got the call!
