Baggies goalkeeper Dean Kiely believes the Albion squad won’t be worrying for too long about the handball that lead to Portsmouth’s only goal in the FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley on Saturday.
Milan Baros, who had been booked in the first half for getting what’s attached to his arse and his elbow a little bit muddled used an outstretched arm once more to turn past Martin Albrechtsen. The resulting shot was well saved by Keiley however the ball fell kindly to former Albion forward Nwankwo Kanu to simply slot into the gaping net.
However the former Pompey goalkeeper believes it will soon be all forgotten as he told the official West Brom website:
“I think Baros handballed a couple of times in the first half, but we aren’t going to belly ache over it.”
“You’ve just got to get on with it.”
“I was very pleased with the save I made, then there was a scramble and it fell their way.”
Kiely performed amicably throughout the match despite recent criticism over his performances and he soon turned his attention to the league fixture on Tuesday night against Blackpool.
“It’s disappointing and will sting a bit for a day because we’re not in the final”
“But we’re training in the morning so we’ve just got to crack on and get on with it.”
