Albion boss Tony Mowbray took heart in his teams performance in the FA Cup semi-final despite the 1-0 defeat courtesy of a Kanu tap-in.
The Baggies more than matched their Premiership opposition and had a number of chances to get themselves back in the game, with Robert Koren hitting the crossbar and Ishmael Miller firing just wide late on, however it was Kanu’s controversial goal, courtesy of a sneaky handball and shot from Milan Baros that was enough to divide the two teams.
With Blackpool upcoming on Tuesday, Mowbray believs that his side can bounce back straight away:
“We’re at Blackpool on Tuesday, then Watford at home before we’re away at our rivals Wolves the following Tuesday.
“The games are just coming thick and fast. It’s one every three days from now on in. Let’s hope there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for us this year.”
“We’ll be back here one day and, if it’s this year, hopefully it will be third time lucky.”
