20 players made the trip with head coach Darren Moore and Harvey Barnes was included despite him only joining us earlier in the day on loan from Leicester City.
Sam Johnstone, Gareth Barry, Sam Field and Oliver Burke did not travel as they took part in a behind closed doors game against Brentford in the afternoon – Burke got the goal in a 1-0 victory.

Barnsley did take the lead in the game in the sixth minute with Lloyd Isgrove finding the back of the net. Kieffer Moore doubled their advantage five minutes later but we had good chances through Jake Livermore and Kyle Bartley to draw level but they were wasted. Welsh international Hal Robson-Kanu did get us off the mark in first-half stoppage time though. Immediately after the restart, James Morrison had restored parity and we had the advantage when Jay Rodriguez forced an own goal in the 52 minute as Dimitri Cavare sliced into his own net.
A decent run-out and a 3-2 win.
