The Baggies have signed Roman Bednar permanently on a three year deal from Hearts.

The transfer was £2.3m, however, West Brom paid the Scottish Premier League club a £200k loan fee for last season.

Here’s wishing the man from the Czech Republic a long and successful career in the Black Country.

  • Well have been impressed with what I saw from him, is a good for you guys to get him permenantly.

  • He’s a good old fashioned centre forward but also very clever. He knows how to make space for himself and finishes well. I think it is a great deal.

  • A very useful asset – 17 goals in 22 starts and without a pre-season in the Championship is very encouraging, let’s hope he makes the step up without too much trouble. Oozed class last season – a great foil for the other forwards at the club.
