Steve Clarke passed all the plaudits to the players today following the unexpected 3-0 victory over Liverpool.
Speaking to wba.co.uk following the dramatic home encounter, the new head coach said.
‘It was a good afternoon, we’ve worked hard to be here. I spent all week telling the players to believe in themselves and be confident coming into this game because they had no reason not to be. I was asking the players to make sure it was a tough afternoon for Liverpool and that’s what they did. I think I’ve been in the game long enough to know you enjoy these moments – but there are different Saturdays to come.’
