Steve Clarke has described today’s 3-0 victory over Southampton as being almost the perfect away performance.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the victory, the head coach said.

‘There was a determination within the camp that today was the day we were going to win. It’s been a few weeks since we won, I don’t think the performances have been that bad, we just haven’t managed to get the wins to kick start the season again. Hopefully that’s the one that’s done it. I’m quite happy tonight, but I want more and the players know it.’

Clarke said that hopefully the performance and the victory will quiten those down who have looked at our season in isolation since we had a dip in form, and the pundits will see that we’ve had a very good season indeed.

Today’s victory set two new records for the club, highest finish yet currently with 48 points and also 14 victories in a season.
